Why Learn Aerobatics ?
In the days when most training aircraft were aerobatic, most students, certainly Air Force pilots, were taught aerobatics as part of their basic training, some enjoyed the experience, others did not. Luckily in this day and age it is down to personal choice.
The ability to control an aircraft safely through it’s entire flight envelope when required could one day save you and your passengers. Many pilots fly their approaches at too high a speed purely because they have never been taught how to fly at low speed with high power settings and stay in balance and control, most aircraft can be flown on the edge of stall buffet round a 45 degree banked turn or can be stalled at twice the flight manual quoted stall speed, these are things that you will learn and practice whilst training for aerobatics which will make you a safer and more knowledgeable pilot.
But above all, aerobatics if taught properly are good safe fun!
